A proud graduate of Jackson State University, Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in History and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning. <h2>Advocate for the Community</h2>Throughout his professional path, Brian has worked to build systems that lift people up rather than leave them behind. He has championed workers’ rights and voting access with the ACLU of Mississippi, overseen federal transportation initiatives in Arizona, and directed statewide planning efforts at MnDOT. He is a devoted husband and father of two children, and remains actively involved in organizations that reflect his values of mentorship, leadership, and community advancement. His service includes involvement with 100 Black Men, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the MnDOT African American Employee Resource Group, and the Jackson State University Alumni Association, Twin Cities Chapter, which he co-founded.Brian is running for Washington County Commissioner because he believes every resident deserves a county government that is transparent, responsive, and rooted in service. His campaign is about building a Washington County where residents feel seen, heard, and valued — and where county leadership works every day to strengthen families, support communities, and create opportunities for the future.
