Brian believes in

Housing Affordability

Housing options must reflect the various stages of a family’s life. Currently, many residents—from young professionals and first-time homebuyers to working families and seniors—are struggling with escalating costs and restricted access to high-quality, affordable homes near employment, education, and transit. Brian advocates for a housing policy that promotes sustainable growth and expands attainable options while maintaining the unique character of our local neighborhoods. Through strategic planning and robust partnerships, he is committed to finding practical solutions that enable residents to live and prosper in Washington County.

Action Priorities

  • Expand housing options for workers, seniors, families, and first-time homebuyers at a range of income levels.

  • Support balanced growth that protects natural resources, preserves community character, and meets the needs of a growing county.

  • Strengthen partnerships with municipalities, nonprofits, developers, and regional agencies to increase housing supply.

  • Encourage diverse housing choices near jobs, schools, transit, healthcare, and essential services.

Community Impact

Washington County has more than 113,000 housing units, but demand continues to rise as the population grows. With the 2023 median home value at $400,900, many residents are finding it harder to afford or remain in the communities they call home. Brian’s approach focuses on practical housing solutions that support families, protect local identity, and ensure Washington County remains a place where residents can live, work, and thrive.
